They really don't know if there will be a twin? I'd think with all else that zoos do they would have ultrasound for Pandas by now.

Congrats Buttons! You do realize that your Auntlie duties include sending bamboo and a funny card for every birthday and holiday, don't you?

You'd think so, but they're so tiny when they're babies. I wonder if an ultrasound would be too traumatic?

As a Master Gardner here, I could probably send quite a bit of bamboo, since it's such an invasive plant around here.

(The Zoo does get its supply from locals, but only where they have 100% assurance of no pesticide use.)

Atlanta's Panda gets beautiful name.
"Atlanta, America, the world: Meet Mei Lan.
That’s the name officially given Friday morning to the Giant Panda cub born at Zoo Atlanta.
Translated from Mandarin Chinese, it means “Atlanta beauty.” It is pronounced “May-lan,” and will be the animal’s name for life."

Each day this week, the Atlanta Journal Constitution has dedicated a page to baby panda pictures and facts. Their website even has a 'Panda Watch' section.
