I don't honestly think anything of that sort is going to work. It sounds uncaring, but the best solution is to let them work it out between them

Look where Britain and the States are with Iraq; basically, we are trying to stand in the middle of a civil war. Nothing will work there, and it will not work with this situation; these two have had their hands around each other's throats for far too long.

I think an international force should be sent in. Just because it is not happening on our doorsteps does not mean we shouldn't try and help.

why...so they can stand around and do nothing productive?

israel should cripple hizbollah and then Lebanon should come to their southern border and do what they should have done...keep them from firing rockets into israel.

This may be just misinformation on my part but I thought that Israel already had troops in southern Lebanon before this recent renewal of hostilities?

To do what? The UN has been in Lebanon for 26 years. Would you expect this 'force' to disarm or contain the terrorists?

Exactly my point. If anything, the 'peacekeeping forces' might get a ceacefire for a short time, but as soon as their backs are turned..........
