Somewhere a New Ager is cheering that we will soon discover the hidden alien spaceship under the pyramids and the akashic records under the sphinx.

Man, I don't want to poop on your source, but Front Page Magazine is something Dick Cheney would masturbate to. There's a book ad on the sidebar for an interesting title called "Obama and Islam", and an ad for a Ronald Regan themed e-mail service. It sounds like right-wing pandering to their fringe elements.

Hmmm....I guess it can't be true that Islamic extremists would want to purge pagan & heathen art & architecture.
Oh, wait! They've done it before.....

I suppose that this didn't happen either cuz Wikipedia is another right wing conspiratorial group.

Aljazeera is one of my favorite right wingers.....I think they're a splinter group from the Tea Party.

I happen to really like history, art & architecture.
I hate seeing our past erased from our memories, as is often done when too much Kool Aid is consumed, eg, Mao's purges.
I wonder what Caladan thinks & knows about these goings on?

I'll give the same answer I gave on FB's archaeology group when this came up:

And please note that I am not a fan of the Muslim Brotherhood, as a concerned neighbour of Egypt. I'm simply trying to bring some objectivity here. I visited in Egypt shortly before the Arab Spring, and I hope to do so again in the future and get my impressions of the changes after their first democratic election in Egyptian history.

I'm not saying that there aren't people saying 'blow up the pyramids'. There are people right here in Canada who burn books. I'm saying that source seems, well, biased.
