We should remember that there are videos of Wade, the associate moron at Dove, burning Korans on YouTube.
They are already doing it. The 9/11 stunt is just going to burn more. |

Well, seeing that he's a minister, he probably has stolen a lot of souls....

If I had my way, I'd burn every Koran, every Bible, every Book of Mormon, and any other book of nonsense that aspires to indoctrinate the minds of the illiterate, the gullible, the uneducated, the misguided or the unwary who seek a little meaning in their lives.
As history amply attests, the result of such indoctrination is always the same: intolerance to any opposing viewpoint or argument, which entails the rejection of sound reason and science, which ultimately motivates the beguiled followers to extreme acts of violence and war. Good riddance to these cancerous menaces. Last edited by andys; 09-11-2010 at 10:43 AM.. |

Nevertheless, if people want to burn books -- as long as they're not old, rare, irreplaceable books -- let them have at it. Just think how disappointed that moron in Florida would have been if he'd had his bonfire and nobody paid any attention to him at all.

Over the past couple of months I have come to a realization... what purpose does it serve me to be antagonistic towards any other religion just because I dont believe in it? Why should I waiste my time hateing? Everyone has a right to believe and practice their own ways, so long as they don't try to force their beliefs on me. What a boreing world it would be if we all thought the same way. This is why I never force my way of thinking upon anyone, my beliefs are my own and nobody elses. I suppose I am, what I call, "Xepering"... I am beginning to further mature in a spiritual and in an intellectual sense.

Adramelek,
Your self praise for achieving spiritual intellectual maturity is a little premature. Here's another deep realization for you to help you mature: Whenever an ideology, religious or otherwise, threatens to destroy your freedom, your human rights, your entire way of life, it's time to be less complacent and a bit antagonistic. Had you been a Jew in Nazi Germany, I suspect you might not chirp, "what purpose does it serve me to be antagonistic towards any other religion [ideology] just because I dont [sic] believe in it? Why should I waiste [sic] my time hateing [sic]?" You need to remove your rose-coloured glasses and take a closer look at the merchandise for sale. Last edited by andys; 09-12-2010 at 01:25 PM.. |

Dear Andys,
Believe me, I understand your point. But remember I also said "unless thy try to force their beliefs on me." What I meant by this was that yes I am tolerant up to a point, but you better believe that I will be like a lion if my personal rights and freedoms come under attack. Please andys do not be so quick to judge me just because of one post, your post shows that you know very little about me. I will gladly kill and if need be die to protect my rights and freedoms; just ask anybody who does know me - UltraViolet, Orias, Sireal, they will tell you. Again, I am tolerant, but my tolerance goes only so far.

Adremelek,
I am relieved that you are not complacent about religions or ideologies that pose a threat to our human rights. Naturally, others are free to believe what they want as long as their actions do not pose a threat. It troubles me that there are so many people of the opinion that religions are benign and preach only love. Islam, for example is a major political force on our planet which threatens every aspects of our lives. Other, seemingly altruistic religions fly under the radar. Yet they undermine and openly oppose scientific inquiry when certain findings contradict their superstitious beliefs and dogma. Christians, for example, aggressively lobby school boards to alter textbooks to remove text that does not conform to their antiquated beliefs about the origin of species including man. The Catholic church opposes birth control to be made available to third world countries. The list is endless. Yet these unholy institutions are viewed by our societies as benevolent and above the law. Therefore, I am always suspicious when I hear someone exclaim that it serves no purpose to be antagonistic towards religions because everyone has a right to believe and practice in their own way. |
