Guess the religious figure

I thought it might be fun to test our collective knowledge of religious figures from around the world.

You can make your entry as easy or as hard as you like.
The rules are that if you guess correctly then it is your turn to chose a figure and compose an entry, unless you choose to give your turn to someone else.
You can be economical with the truth, so as to make it a bit of a challenge, and you can make it as tricky as you like, but you cannot lie or make stuff up.
If no one guesses correctly after a week, you win and get another go.

I'll start;

This man was born in the Middle East several centuries after Christ.

He claimed to have been given a message by a divine being and told to start a new religion that would be the complete truth of God's message, one that had been fragmented and corrupted by the already existing religions.

He also claimed to be the last in a series of Prophets of God that included Noah, Abraham, Enoch and Jesus, and he was known as the "Seal of the Prophets".
Another claim was that he represented the "paraclete" promised by Jesus in the Gospel.

During his lifetime his religion spread to cover much of the Arabian peninsula, and after his death spread further west into Europe and east into Asia.
