Sariah, Abish, Isabel, Sarah, Eve and Mary. The last three are mentioned but not present.

2. What prophet does the Book of Mormon suggest wrote the proof texts for Romans 11:16-24?
Zenos, as shown in the Jacob 5 allegory of the vineyard.

3. What verse in the Book of Mormon has a "Joseph Smith Translation"?
...I'm still unpacking, and the online scriptures are not helpful. One of the Isaiah passages in the BoM was altered in the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible. If no one finds it before I unpack my books, I'll post it. Just skim the Isaiah passages for the "JST" in the footnotes.

4. What Old Testament verse is believed to have been paraphrased by both Lehi and William Shakespeare?
Job 10:21. Lehi is often accused of stealing Shakespeare's "from whence no traveler returns" line, but it turns out they were both borrowing from earlier things, which go back at least as far as Job.

5. Where is the largest single chiasmus known to date in the Book of Mormon?
Open to debate, but the entire book of First Nephi is a chiasmus. Anyone beat that?

6. What book(s) of the Book of Mormon have no recorded chiasm?
Jarom, Omni, Words of Mormon, and Ether. The last one is significant because it suggests the original text was not Near Eastern in origin.

7. Many LDS scholars believe Nephi was an experienced metalworker by trade. Name one of the reasons for this claim.
There are several: Nephi recognized the great quality of Laban's sword, and later copied it. He could make tools but not a ship; likewise, his brothers didn't mention the new tools when the insulted his skill at shipbuilding.

8. What is the shortest verse in the Book of Mormon, in terms of number of words?
Alma 18:27 has four words. Anyone beat that?

I don't remember my answers but I do not think I did so well maybe 5/8. This isn't really info one gets from reading the BoM but rather from reading about the BoM in my humble opinion, but I do recognize the tremendous difficulty you had trying to craft a quiz that was search proof.

Thanks. I appreciate your candid appraisal, and I'm interested in constructive criticism for my next round of questions. I still haven't forgotten s2a's comments, and I hope to address them shortly after real life calms down.

I think your comment re: reading about the BoM is especially pertinent to the chiasmus, Shakespeare and metalworking questions.

I think the next quiz will be a series of stories, many taken from various world myths, which have corresponding events in the Book of Mormon. These will be hard to search, but someone who is familiar with the stories should see parallels immediately. In that way, it should be easier for people who are familiar with the Book of Mormon, and thus a fairer test to see who has read it.

I think that is an excellent idea. I look forward to the next quiz.

I seem to remember being shown one that goes through the entire book of Mosiah, which is longer than First Nephi. I'll have to look back through my seminary stuff and see if I can find it.
