![]() The objects in question are these protruding, upper-floor sections of older, upper-class Bosnian Muslim homes. The centre photo displays to excellent examples, the green one in the forground on the left, and the beige one at the very top of the hill in the background. The first person to guess correctly gets 10,000 points. After every guess, I'll give another hint - and each time the value of the prize for winning will drop by 1,000 points.

Honestly, the only visual that I'm getting is someone sticking their head out the window and cleaning rugs. I'm stumped.

I guess I have to give a hint to get the party started.
Okay... when these rooms were used for their intended purpose, half of those using the room were in it, and the other half were actually outside of the house altogether.

I gave that hint before Dawny posted her guess, so we'll say I owe you another one.
The hint is that the windows of these rooms were often screened at least to face level. Not blocked, but delicately and beautifully screened so you could still see out but it was difficult to see in, you'd just catch glimpses of the inside of the room, broken apart like looking through lace.

Do these rooms have anything to with weddings?
Honeymoon suites?

They indirectly have something to do with weddings, but nothing to do with honeymoon suites.

Next hint is from a Bosnian story:
"Fata was as wise as she was lovely, and the boys who tried to win her affection through daring jests knew this well. Her words were as sharp as her wit, and she would dismiss them with a movement of her body such that only a woman of her age, her beauty, and her class can make. A movement that said more than her laugh, or her words."

Were these rooms of worship?

I'm watching the thread but I'm completely stumped. I was thinking lookout towers before you said they were indirectly used for weddings. Now I'm really confused.
