The Koran was written by Mohammed I believe; parts of the Bible (Old Testament) were written in stone on Mt. Sinai by God (or Moses the Stone Cutter) I believe.

Generally speaking, the Bible (Old and New Testaments) are believed written several hundred years or more before Mohammed was born.

President Bush, Jr. took his Oath of Office as President of the United States using the Bible (not the Koran). The Bible and the Koran are two different books (not the identical book).

Regarding your question as to who is Jehovah, Allah, and Yhwh and what is meant by the use of those terms as used in the Bible and the Koran, please consider asking President Bush, Jr. who would likely know (not me) since he made today's Inaugural speech and has said that he has a relationship with the Lord and that God ~ told him that God wanted him to be President of the United States of America and God did not want politician Al Gore or politician John Kerry.

I can't ask him. But as far as blessings go if the knowns or assumes are such

1) God created the world
2) all those that are in the world were created by God


I can't think of a reason why he would create all the world and only favor part of it. To bless one is to penalize the other no?

Well, the Bible of Judaism (Old Testament) and Christianity (New Testament) tends to suggest that God favors only part of creation as in:

a) Old Testament reports God throwing out Eve and Adam for eating a non-organic apple and

b) New Testament tells about a Last Judgement where the Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court will make a final thumbs up decision (heaven) or thumbs down decision (heck)...oops...amend that from Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court to Jesus Christ sitting on his great white throne.

PGD, I was wondering how to phrase this, and I think I should simply ask you outright. In your opinion, do you think there's something wrong with being gay or loving gay family members? Do you perhaps think that not being a Christian makes your viewpoint less valid?

I'm wondering if maybe I'm misinterpreting your comments, and I would appreciate some clarification before I am unkind enough to assume that the impression I'm getting from your posts is one thing, when maybe you really think something different.

If my interpretation of the comments is correct, though, I would suggest addressing those comments in a seperate post (again, I would recommend the 'debate' section). Although these issues have been discussed repeatedly, it bears mentioning that not everyone who thinks that Bush is a bully of the lowest caliber does not share the belief in the above things mention, and that it will distract the discussion from the original intent of the topic.

The world would be so much better if (instead of Bush) a Druid was elected. OR some other pagan religion like that. She'd be sworn in on a wreath of mistletoe, ivy, and oak leaves. Ivy would be grown on the whitehouse. She would most likely stop the wars, and take much money out of the military and put it into other, more important areas. I think that everyone would be better off if such a thing were to happen, regardless of the fundamentalists who would cry that doomsday has come.
