Are You Sure? (beliefs, faith)

LOL, OK.

To answer my own question, I believe two things are absolutely certain:
1) God exists, and
2) NOBODY understands it. That includes me.

I see it as a great puzzle. I know I haven't solved it yet, but neither has anyone else, and I'd rather work on my own answer, make my own mistakes, than just go with someone else's.

Oddly, "understand" is another of those words that, like "literally," has become stretched to mean its opposite in some contexts.

For instance, whatever understanding you do have of God is your "understanding" of it. It's not necessary that what you understand be all-encompassing for you to be understanding.

That is because my belief structures are based in Reality not in whimsical fancy or governed by meaningless appeals to external authority.

Considering most of the topics on RF do not have a right or wrong answer, things get a bit tedious when folks insist on their beloved absolutes. It is a reminder that we could all be full of hot air. Plus, it helps me keep my feet grounded in reality, lest I get carried away with my own thinking.

I know my world view is correct and I have never had anyone tell me different. Actually I have met very few people that do not agree with me so, I thinking the governments of the world are doing what the people don't want them to do.

I'm surprised by the options that you listed. No where did I see:

My worldview is the one that makes the most sense to me having applied reason and reflection to what I've experienced. It may change later with different experiences, but for now it is as true for me as it can be. AND I acknowledge that others have worldviews that may be different from mine and yet equally true for them.

I direct your attention to the fact that we have only just scraped the surface of science.
That there remain many unanswered questions in both subatomic physics and cosomology.... they would have profound technological and psychological rammifications if they become answered.

Thats probably under Neutral, although maybe I only think that because I concur with the thinking..
