Would you rather have the final Truth (or Untruth) about your religious beliefs or would you rather be satisfied with the belief that you had the Truth and that you were right about these beliefs? Why or why not.
to the atheists... Would you rather have the final Truth (or Untruth) about your philosophy or would you rather be satisfied with the belief that you had the Truth and that you were right about these beliefs? Why or why not.

I don't need to be right about my beliefs, I love it when people proof me wrong. I can create a huge ego, but not big enough so that I think that only I will be right. That means it isn't a bad thing being wrong. Only knowing your wrong but sticking to it is a shame..

1. I am not convinced any non-subjective human understanding is possible. 2. The likely non-existence of objective truth appears to have no negative practical impact (relative to believers in Truth). 3. Accepting the unlikelihood of human understanding of any objective truth appears to have many positive practical effects (relative to believers in Truth). |

All the fun is in figuring out WHAT the truth is for me! As long as I can love others along the way, being "right" has little appeal for me. Discovery is what it is all about!

No matter how many truths you'll find, there will always raise new questions..

Which keeps life interesting. I mean, if there was only a finite amount of truth in this world, I would soon go bonkers. I want to search and explore: figure out inter-relationships and new ideas. Life is no fun if you have to read a book to figure it out!

I don't know what the final truth is about most things, especially God, but I do know the final truth about that church. And I am a far better person for knowing it. |
