There's not a choice for other or none of the above.

You are right...I should have included one. Perhaps a mod will add that option (ohter/none), and of course you can explain your would-be choice in the thread.

I voted "none".
Simply because I don't believe any such laws are in place

I picked "other". The purpose of the laws of God is to cause Man to acheive an ever advancing Divine Civilization, an ever continuing construction of "The Kingdom".

I said none, because I simply don't believe in any, but I must say that a theist would probably see no limit to God's law, or at least it would not only apply to one of the categories presented.

Wouldn't that be relationships/ethics?

I think the primary purpose is to infuse political and social structures with a psychological authority in order to make them more useful for controlling and manipulating the behavior of people in large groups. So the primary purpose of calling something "God's law" is to perpetuate and mobilize power in social reality.

Not close enough for "government work." At least not in my estimation, I couldn't feel comfortable. I think its more like causing man's will to become subservient to God's will. One CAN legislate ethics, for instance without reference to God's purposes.
An extreme example would be the Nuremburg Laws of the Third Reich. They defined relationships and ethics in a way inconsistent with what I feel to be God's purpose. Regards, Scott

I think for politicians and other elites social control is the primary purpose of asserting that something is God's Law. The common people are then left with a set of laws that are not usually entirely conducive to spiritual growth.
