Let us all remember that quran is a book of "signs" not "science". For muslims it should be above science, on the whole. The reason why these scientific discoveries should be told to non-muslims is, to show that Quran is still far superior to Modern science. For what is being discovered now, was mentioned in the Quran 1500 yrs back proving that Quran is superior.
[We] then formed the drop into a clot and formed the clot into a lump and formed the lump into bones and clothed the bones in flesh; and then brought him into being as another creature. Blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators! (Qur'an, 23:14) Embryology is the branch of science that studies the development of the embryo in the mother's womb. Until very recently, embryologists assumed that the bones and muscles in an embryo developed at the same time. Yet, advanced microscopic research conducted by virtue of new technological developments has revealed that the revelation of the Qur'an is word for word correct.

I, for one, do not understand this fascination with pointing out the science in the Qur'an. Yes, it is a sign of truth, but it is not meant to be PERSUASION. Nothing persuades the heart or changes it other than the love of God within it. Without that, all the "signs" and "science" in the world will not change theheart nor put in the heart love which is not there.
