i've listened to some recitations of the Quran and some sung du'a, and they are certainly beautiful. here is a quote from Pope John Paul II that i especially like:

yes, clearly... it's the central holy book for billions of Muslims, and the principles and teachings therein certainly guide how they live, on some level.

my spiritual bent tends to be universalist... so i would not say it is the *only* valid way of (spiritual and social) life, but that itis certainly valid and worthy of respect and study on its own.
