Default Catholics share organist with Unitarians

I found the following snippit when looking for data on Tenterden Unitarians.

Quote:
Taught music for a while at Homewood School, Tenterden. Now Organist at St Andrew's RC, Tenterden, co-organist at Unitarian chapel,
I wonder how often Churches with such differing views the Trinity, share organists.
There simply is no meeting of minds.

I suppose the Catholics do not recognise the Unitarians as being a Christian church so it means nothing to them. and the Unitarians just don't care.

I wonder if this is common though?

When we lived in Richmond our organist had a job at a baptist church. He was a Mormon and, since we don't pay anyone in our church - he played for us without charging. If our time slot overlapped when he needed to be at his job he obviously didn't play for us.

It was great. Usually we end up having piano players as the organists, and they just aren't the same. It is wonderful having someone who is actually trained on the organ.

The school I went to had two large pipe organs, one in the chapel and the other in the main Hall. every year the school gave two organ scholarships. and they employed a full time organ teacher. I often wonder where all those young organists are playing now.
Though not all went on to study organ at university... but when they left the school they were better than most organists you find in churches today.
