Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

There is no "Hell" IMO. To say it is exothermic or endothermic would be giving it phyiscal characteristics, and since it does not exist (to me), it can be neither. Hell is a state of mind, a distance from God that causes a person anguish and grief. It applies to this life, not the afterlife.
Or were you referring to the actual Hell? Photographs of Hell :goodjob: Or am I missing some deeper meaning to the question? (Wouldn't be the first time.) ops:

This is more a "fun" question than a deeply philosophical one. I also do not believe in Hell... but if it DID exist, and if it DID somehow submit to the laws of nature, would it be exothermic or endothermic?

Ah OK... then I would say it would be endothermic. Sucking in all heat (life) and holding on to it.

Massive clouds of mosquitos so nasty they can actually kill a man... now thats a Hell mg: wa:-do |

My favorite has always been the cold hells....
The Hell of the Blood Red Lotus is so cold that the skin of your back splits open, hence the name........ |

Being from the desert and accustomed to heat, I also think the worse form of torture would be extreme cold.
