God? What is God? (Jesus, punishment, reject, Creator, Earth)

“Allah” is the word used in Arabic language to refer to One and only One God, the Creator and Sustainer of Universe. “Allah” is not a Islam specific word, and used by all Arabic speaking people to refer to God.

What is God?

• Merciful
• Attributes
• Oneness of God
• His signs
• Favour
• How can you reject?

Merciful:

• “ (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority)” (20:5)
• “ Allah Most gracious!

It is He Who has taught the Quran;
He has created man
He has taught him speech (and intelligence).” (55:1-4)

• “ And your God is One God: There is no god but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.” (2:163)
• Allah says, “My mercy encompasses all things.” (7:156)
• “Look then at the signs of Allah’s mercy, how He gives life to the earth after its death, most surely He will raise the dead to life; and he has power over all things.” (30:50)
• “Your Lord has prescribed for Himself mercy, that whoso of you does evil through ignorance and repents afterward thereof and does right, (for him) Lo! He is Forgiving, Merciful.” (6:54)
• “When it is said to them, ‘Prostrate to Allah; Most Gracious!’ they say, ‘and what is Allah, Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to that which you commands us?’ And it increases their flight from the truth and they are far away from the truth.” (25:60)

Attributes:

• “ Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all thing in the heavens and on the earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permits? He knows what (appear to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass any thing of His knowledge except as he wills. His Throne does extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most high, the Supreme.” (2:255)
• “ Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god; the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of peace and perfection, the Guardian of faith, the Preserver of safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners, they attribute to Him.

He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms or colors. To Him belong the Most Beautiful names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, does declare his praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. ” (59:23-24)

• “ The Forgiver if sin, the Accepter of repentance, the Strict in punishment, the Bountiful. There is no god save Him. Unto Him everyone has to return (after death)” (40:3)

Oneness of God:

• Only One God
• Worship Allah only
• Pray only to God

a) Only One God:

• “ Your god is One God: as to those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts refused to know, and they are arrogant” (16:22)
• Jesus is addressing to the people, “ (O people) Say: ‘I am but a man like yourselves, but the inspiration has come to me, that your god is One God: whoever expect to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness and in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner (like son, daughter or wife etc). ” (18:110)

This address of Jesus is also quoted in Bible, in Red inked text. But unfortunately some Christian even did not know about their scripture.

• “If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! But Glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!” (21:22)
• “And your god is One God: there is no god but Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful” (2:163)
• “If any of them should say, ‘I am a god besides Him’, such a one We (Allah) should reward with hell: thus do We reward those who do wrong.” (21:29)

b) Worship Allah only:

• “Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him (Allah).” (17:23)
• “Take not, with Allah, another object of worship (such as man, stones, statues etc.) Lest you should be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected.”
• Allah is saying to all mankind, “Not a messenger did We sent before you without this inspiration sent by Us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me.” (21:25)
• “ Allah has said: ‘Take not for worship two god: for He is just One God: then fear Me and Me alone.’” (16:51)

c) Pray only to God Almighty Allah:

• “ Call on your Lord (Allah) with humility and in private: for Allah loves not those who trespass beyond bounds” (7:55)
• “And who is more astray then one who invokes besides Allah, such as will not answer him to the Day of Judgment, and who, in fact, are unconscious of their call (to them)? And when men are gathered together they shall be their enemies, and shall be denies of their worshipping (them).” (46:5-6)

Means, those who worship others besides Allah, when those people will be dragged to the Day of resurrection, people will used to call whom they have been worshipping other then Allah, their lords and false gods will deny to their worship.

• “ And those whom they call on besides Allah have not created anything while they are themselves created;

Dead (are they), not living, and know not when they shall be raised.” (16:20-21)

• “ And call not, besides Allah, on another god. There is no god but He (alone). Everything (that exists) will perish except His own face (everything will be destroy on the Day, except Allah). To Him belongs the command, and to Him will you all be brought back.” (28:88)
• “ And do not call besides Allah on that which can neither benefit you nor harm you, for if you do then surely you will in that case be of the unjust.” (10:106)
• “ Say: ‘call on those, besides Him- whom you fancy: they have neither the power to remove your troubles from you nor to change them’

Those whom they call upon do desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord, even those who are nearest: they hope for His Mercy and something to take heed of.” (17:56-57)
· “ If anyone invokes, besides Allah, any other god, he has no authority therefore; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord; and verily, the unbelievers will fail to win through!” (23:117)
· “ And among men is he who worship Allah (standing) on the verge, so that if a trial afflict him he turns back headlong; he loves this world as well as the hereafter; that is a manifest loss. He calls besides Allah upon that which does not harm him and that which does not profit him that is the great straying.
He calls upon him whose harm is nearer that his profit; evil certainly is the guardian and evil certainly is the associate.” (22:11-13)

His signs:

• “ And how many a signs in the heavens and the earth which they pass by, yet they turn aside from it. And most of them do not believe in Allah without associating others with Him.” (12:105)
• “ We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?” (41:53)
• “ Among His signs is this, that He created you from dust; and then, behold, you are men scattered (far and wide)!” (30:20)
• “ And among His sign is this, that He created for you mates (wives & husbands and relatives) from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are signs for those who reflect.” (30:21)
• “ And among His signs is the creation of heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and you colors: verily in that are signs for the learned people.” (30:22)
• “ And among His signs is the sleep that you take by night and day, and the quest that you make for livelihood out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken.” (30:23)
• “ And among His signs, He shows you the lighting, by way both of fear and hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are signs for those who are wise.” (30:24)
• “ And among His signs is this, that heaven and earth stand by His command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, you (straightway) come forth.” (30:25)

Favour:

• “ O men! Call to mind the favor of Allah on you; is there creator besides Allah who gives you sustenance from the heaven and earth? There is no god but He; how then are you deluded (believing untrue things) away from the truth?” (35:3)
• “ And He gives you of all that you ask Him; and if you count Allah’s favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful.”(14:34)
• “ Lo1 your Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks.” (27:73)
• “ Surely His grace to you is abundant.” (17:87)
• “ Do you not that Allah has subjected to your (use) all things in the heavens and on earth, and has made His bounties flow to you in exceeding measure, (both) seen and unseen/ yet there are among men those who dispute about Allah, without knowledge and without guidance, and without a Book to enlighten them!” (31:20)
• “ It is He who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when you knew nothing; and He gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and affection that you may give thanks to Him.” (16:78)
• “ It is He Who has created you for all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He has perfect knowledge.” (2:29)

How can you Reject?

• “ How can you reject the faith in Allah? seeing that you were without life, and He gave you life; then will He cause you to die, and will again bring you to life; and again to him you return.” (2:28)
• “ O man! What has betrayed you from your Lord, the Gracious one, Him Who has created you fashioned you in due proportion, and gave you a just bias In whatever form He wills, does He put you together.” (82:6-8)
• “ Woe to man! What has made him reject Allah;

From what stuff has He created him?
From a sperm-drop: He has created him, and then moulds him in due proportions;
Then does He makes His path smooth for him;” (80:17-20)

Yet there is absolutly no proof whatsoever of his/her/its existence ?

Yeah1 i agree with u. there is no prove of his/her/it of God. It is also not mentioned in Quran but Muslims used it in the English version because Allah talked about Himself.
