there isn't really much do discuss in relation to my belief in a creator God. God exists, we know virtually nothing about this God, we have no relationship with this God, and this God does not enter or act in our world. your point of view will be that Allah is the creator God, and that you can have a personal relationship with him.

i just think that the God who created the universe must be a being of immense, nigh on if not infinite power and knowledge - for this concept to enter our minds would utterly destroy us, we simply can't comprehend the powers involved in the very idea of this creator Go, let alone relate to it.

I would agree. Unless, that is, the Creator chooses to empty himself, humble himself and come down and relate to us (which I'm sure you realise is the central tenet of my faith). That's why it always amuses me when people say that view of God X is obviously true because it's more rational/logical than Y (a common tactic of monists with regards to Trinitarians as an example), but why should God conform to human logic? To my mind any God that can be encompassed by our rational thought, simply isn't God. That's why I'm glad we leave so much as Mystery in my faith - I'm instantly suspicious of neat logical descriptions of the uncreated Creator of all.

I agree; that is something I see as one of the biggest "traps"for us - wasting time trying to define God to ourselves (his nature, where he is and how............etc.). I atch myself doing just that quite often, and I snap back into "I couldn't possibly be able to imagine God anyway", far better to spend time meditating and praying thatn in thinking on imponderables.

Sure God is Love (as my dear Daughter said), but I feel that God is everything that we know of that has life.

good job my view isn't a neat and logical description then

i accept that the powers of the creator God are infinite, i don't deny that the creator God could humble itself to relate to humans, i just don't have any personal evidence to justify a belief that s/he does do that.
