Otherwise known as the voice inside your head. That little person that is your thoughts.
To you can you talk to God with that voice? I mean you hear it but nonone else can. So does that mean when God talks to you nobody can hear him? I'm using the word "God" in a very broad sense.

Beats me... I don't think "God" talks directly to people, but I think it very possible that spirits/guardians may talk to us (either in dreams or, if the conditions are right, when we are awake)... so if they are imparting God's knowledge/"will" to us, perhaps in an odd, roundabout way God IS talking to us... although I think in most cases we're either hearing our OWN minds, or if the thoughts really come from "elsewhere", then I suspect we're hearing a spirit/guardian whose different perspective of reality allows it to know more than us and it chooses to communicate with us for reasons of its own....and NOT hearing "God".

I don't believe god talks to us because god does not talk. However, Spirits can impart knowledge to us when awake and not. Whether that is gods knowledge or just there knowledge I am not sure. I do believe we can understand the Tao by clearing our own mind, and allowing ourselves to understand. After we clear it, enlightenment may come to us in any way shape or form. Most of the time its not in words though. Its a feeling you get that you cannot express in any other way than words.

I believe God literally talks to us, most (if not all) of the time. I've never heard the audible voice of God though.

In the old Jewish tradition (not sure about Judaism, etc), angels were believed to of given the Torah to moses, for much the same reasons given above. God Would often appear as the 'angel of the LORD', or communicate with the prophets as 'the word of the Lord'. to see the Lord face to face would mean destruction.
