oh, i stopped drinking as well. i hadn't done much of it, and the temptation was never too strong, but it does tend to make me the odd one out at gatherings.
i also no longer eat meat, which i flip-flopped over for years... i now juts avoid it but there are times when i would really like to try some steak or something. but of course i have to remember where the stuff comes from. now if meat grew on trees... hehe. i also cover my head now, and dress more modestly / simply. this has basically been fine, considering that few women here cover, save for Mennonite women. i'm used to it and love it, and hopefully my neighbors can become more used to it, as well.

To go from Catholic to Paganism, I had to loosen up a lot. Rather than dismiss an idea as sacriligious I would force myself to think about it, to try to see the idea in a a new light - gaining a new perspective on things, especially life itself.

Well, for one I had to toughen up some. Take things more like a man and stop making excuses. Then I stopped acting on any homosexual urges I got (That was a toughie for sure). Otherwise I adapted pretty smoothly. Blots and Sumbels were easy enough to schedule, although finding a kindred was pretty tough untill I just formed my own. You'd be suprised how few non-fluffy ones there are around here.

You must forgive me, the only information I have of Asatru is what I looked up last evening.

I couldn't sense God. Nothing was there. So I became an atheist. Everything was easier after that.
