What theological differences exist between Messianic Jews or Christians?

Do you, as a Jew, consider Messianic Jews to be closer to Jews or Christians?

essentially yes, in that most major forms of Judaism teach a coming of the Moshiach (messiah)

what is known as "Messianic Judaism" is theologically NOT judaism, it is christianity.

they are 2 seperate religions for a reason.

Okay, I have another question.

When someone says they are a Messianic Jew, is it probably they mean they're from a Jewish ethnic/cultural background, but religiously Christian?

This has been my experience. They also still practice nearly all the Jewish Traditions, celebrating the same Jewish (as well as Christian) holidays.
