ive noiced alot of people syaing they have no religion on this forum, but use many words to state that. this is just a suggestion that instead of using none, use the more appropriate term: Nontheism

Nontheism (or non-theism), broadly conceived, according to Caporale & Grumelli (1971) , is the absence of belief in both the existence and non-existence of a deity (or deities, or other numinous phenomena). The word is often employed as a blanket term for all belief systems that are not theistic, including atheism (both strong and weak) and agnosticism, as well as certain Eastern religions like Confucianism, Taoism, and Zen Buddhism. This usage is somewhat misleading, however.

So us closeted "non-theists" are wrong to go by any other title? I've not noticed your religious self-ascription to have altered it self to simply "theist"; i will expect your own "correction" to be implemented immediately.

Just belief in deities. Nontheists can believe in a variety of things without believing in gods and goddesses.

You "suggested" we use the "appropriate" term. I might "suggest" your "suggestion" was largely made in ignorance (forgiveable) of non-theists (and purported denominations). Or, perhaps your ignorance is more indicative of your ambivilance to less "sensible" modes of thought. Either way, your suggestion was not very "appropriate".
