athiesm is dropping very quickly, statistics show it dropped from 20% to 16% worldwide. its kind of weird. most atheists have been converting to islam, satanism, christianity, or neopagan faiths aparently. i wonder what its gna be like in 10 years

Does that statistic include new agers etc? Because I reckon a more accurate thing to say is that there's been a decline in materialism. I think it's a result of a backlash against the very fast progress of science and technology that's been happening for about a century, and the backlash is just starting. I'm not saying that non-materialists all hate science and technology, but I think that a lot of the change has been as a result of people who feel more uncomfortable with the rate of progress and see spiritualism in any sense as being a calming reassurance in the midst of all the frantic change.
