Religious Healing, Real or Fake? (ritual, mystic, mission, churches)

religious healing. is it real or not? feel free to put your coments on this sort of thing. I myself as a a christian believe in faith healing in the name of god, and chanting in gods divine prowess to heal somone.I also believe in exorcism to some extent. faith healing only works under certain circumstances though, and may take between an hour to many years to take effect. click the links below for info on different types of healing

I think many religious/faith healings involve the placebo effect, which we just happened to be talking about in my psychology class yesterday My teacher told us that 20% of people, when given only a placebo, have their condition improve. When an elaborate ritual (whether religious or involving lots of machinery and testing or exercises to do at home) accompanies it, the percent of those who improve jumps up to 35%. It's all pretty interesting.

I do wonder how much can be solely attributed to the placebo affect, though.

Which of the many links you listed show that? I'm kind of running around doing a report today, and have dialup besides, so it would take me forever to go through all those.

Out of the 75% that report improvement, how many go into remission later? Does it even say?

There are actually Pentecostal publications about how to KEEP your healing.

From a spiritual perspective...once you receive spiritual/faith healing...you're super vulnerable to spiritual "remissions" and it's imperative to keep in the Word, prayer and praise.

Just thought I'd throw that in there...to give a religious perspective. You ask a good question.

I think that once in a while people who are sincere once in a while heals a person,
god likes to mix it up alot,

I believe most religious healers are fakers,

but some of them do heal people, but i have a problem with the people that go to churches, strike people on the head and they fall over on their back and roll over, gurgle hiss, spit,laugh uncontrollably, and get drunk with the spirit

I think this is demonic activity, and people are channeleing the pagan when they do this even though they dont realize it, because they think its from God,
They have felling s of pleasure sometimes, but this doesn't mean its God,

when you meat our in the presence of your God and your king you dont tweak around and act like a freak....

ive even seen some people randomly "levitate" from our church, God never said anything about levitation

Of course demonic entities can"heal" people esp. when they afflict you in the first place

Unfortunately, there are many who "fake" healing and it's a shame.

I didn't believe in faith healing until I saw it firsthand in my own church and fell over laughing in the spirit.

I actually think it's sad that a great many Christians do not embrace what we fully have in Christ. We were told by Christ that we would not only do his works but GREATER works. Christ healed the sick. Christ raised the dead.

In Christ...ALL things are possible. It's a sad shame that the "fakes" discount the genuity of true faith healings. I mean, according to Christ, we should be out there as Christians laying hands on people...bringing them to Christ by showing them faith in action.

actually i was joking, just stretching the truth. but in faith i belieeve aboiut that many people will go away healed even if they dont know it
