I do not believe we can know what is after this life until we are there, so I chose "Unknown"
Also, I changed the title of your thread to reflect the question asked.

Lord Roghen -
I appreciate that you listed nirvana on your poll. However, nirvana is not an afterlife, or even a particular state. It is a condition which one can obtain or achieve. It is the condition where one's karmic tendency is not reborn into the Saha world (world of suffering). From a Mahayana perspective, it is the achievement of the release of all attachment to outcomes which in turn gives the release from suffering. It really has nothing to do directly with life or death. But I do thank you for thinking of us.

Greetings!
The Baha'i Faith, which is Abrahamic, teaches that all go on to the Next Life! The Baha'i scriptures say that whether or not we've gained spiritual attributes in this life determines our circumstances then, so that those who've grown spiritually will experience nearness to God (aka Heaven), while those who haven't will be spiritually remote from God (the definition of hell). Thus, each of us very much determine's his or her own fate, and has no one else to blame! But because God is All-loving and All-merciful, He will assist everyone then to continue to grow spiritually, even those who are initially remote from Him. So eventually, even they will draw near to God. Further, as they are spiritual conditions of nearness to/remoteness from God, Heaven and hell exist here and now as well as after death, and every one of us is in one or the other at each instant as a function of where our heads are at! Best, Bruce |

I believe that God wants us to focus our times and energies being good people in this life, not fussing about what happens after we die. As Lazarus Long said, "Soon enough you will know..." I also don't believe that what comes after should be a motivating factor in your everyday life.

I couldn't go for "Heaven only, Christianity style" even though I believe that is the ultimate after life, because I believe in Reincarnation, which somewhat messes it up..but at the end of the whole lot, yes, the Christian heaven with no hell.

Hey! You listed a Kemetic view of the afterlife. That's got to be a first.
I feel all special now ![]() Obviously, that's the one I checked. The Kemetic idea of the afterlife is, of course, not only limited to the Hall of Double Ma'at. There's the entirety of the Duat after that, provided of course your heart isn't Ammit-food.
