The Universe is a big place.
Really big. We can't be the only ones here. If the idea of reincarnation is true , passing through successive exsistances, then why wouldn't we sometimes be reborn as Zantor on Bleetox or a fleep mouse on Gigatrin 7? I'm just curious because all I've ever heard people who believe in reincarnation say is that they where an Earthly creature in a past life. I find reincarnation a very interesting concept and I am not posting this for fun or a joke. I may be an atheist but I think the human mind holds power we haven't tapped yet. I've tried projecting my consciousness through relaxation (per Carlos Castanada), but I don't connect it with anything spiritual. Science doesn't know everything , but maybe someday we can develope our minds to achieve these things through the power of our own thoughts. Maybe somewhere out there , someone already did. ![]()

Good questions Majikthise
I subscribe to a non standard version of reincarnation. Frankly, I have never thought about the possibility of say having a lifetime on Alpha Centuri's outer moons. Considering the vastness of the reincarnation experience I am good with what I currently understand without the need to get silly. (well... sillier. )Reincarnation is normally thought of as a progressive thing, following a series of steps or incarnations. In principle, I agree, but with one subtle twist. All incarnations are simultaneous. All occur within their own present or Now. All incarnations exist in a still larger "spacious present" and that is the connection point. Predestination has zilch to do with it. Each aspect of the entity is involved in highly specific "research" that relate specifically to their "station" in the entity. One part of the entity is not "above" any other part. All parts are equal, although some parts can be argued to be "greater" than other parts (in some ways). Likewise, all parts have the ability and predilection for "greater" growth. Paradoxical yes, but nonetheless. I do not pretend my view is "correct". However, it does seem to make sense in my stunted mind. (PS: It would take several pages to outline my entire feeling on the whole shubang. So what I have written here is really just scratching the surface.)

Thanks for the response. I believe I understand what you mean and it makes sense.
As the consciousness or soul passes from one incarnation to another it is learning how to better optimize it's exsistance in it's own environment. To put it in a completely different environment would be to throw it the cosmic curve ball. Nature just doesn't do stuff like that, it's pretty ordered in it's treatment of it's children for good or bad. But what happens when a cylce is complete? I wonder what bigger and better things come after that? More questions, cool. ![]()

This sounds like it's right out of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. No, I am not being facetious.

I am working on a fictional account of one possible explanation for exactly this. It is called Celestial Meditations 001 and is 99% completed. There are still one or two awkward spots and I am still ironing them out. Why fiction? Simple. It saves me from having to explain a lot of things I would rather not get into LOL. (The ideas for 002 and 003 are already on the back burner. It may actually develope into a series.) Heck... I may just post it as it is, an tweak it after it is "published" on this forum. Quote:

Greetings.
Wrong number, at least for some of us! The scriptures I follow explicitly state there is no such thing as reincarnation, and go on to explain why in detail.... Peace, Bruce |

I've thought about this same thing before. I think it is possible that we could be reincarnated on another world.
On the other hand, have you heard of the Gaia hypothesis? The idea that the Earth is a life form in is own right, and maybe even has a soul. Taking this view as hypothetically true, maybe we can only reincarnate on Earth because we are linked to the Earth - are part of it. Speculation is fun ![]()
