The idea of this thread is for people to post what they believe are the best aspects of their religious paths, but also the best parts they observe in others.
I'll do a couple as an example; Christianity - its emphasis on compassion towards others. Wicca - its respect for the natural world. Buddhism - its teaching of not believing everything you are told in scripture, its emphasis on personal discovery. Feel free to post multiple times if you think of new additions, and you don't have to post single sentances like i did if you want to expand on a point. The only thing I would not like to see are posts like; Christianity - its the only way to God etc....... Posts like this don't show the admirable aspects of a religion to those of another faith.

Vedanta approaches religion more as a psychotherapeutic modality than as a single, universal and unchanging dogma.
There is no one, optimum therapy for all human conditions. |

This will be a good thread for me to learn about other beliefs.

Mormonism - The eternal nature of the family and inclusion of all Gods children in salvation
You already put down the one that I would use for Wiccan and I don't know enough about other religions to comment intelligently so I'm going to sit back and learn also. ![]() |

I really like the devotion seen in Islam, and the err... monotheism of all the monotheistic religions.
I also really respect all religions that can respect the power of many hallucinagens. They can teach you an awful lot about yourself. Then, of course, there is Homecooked Superfaith, which really doesn't get a name. It is good because of its constantly changing nature and looting of other religions . |
