Henk wrote:
These high priest who actually killed Him.....were n't they like wild animals ? My comment: Those who condemned Jesus were probably considered the most erudite, literate and professional class of their day...In their view maybe some of Jesus teachings were "wicked".. He did suggest destroying the Temple and He drove the money changers and those who sold animals for sacrifices so maybe in their view it was "wicked". By the way Henk who is the "Nathanael" mentioned on your site??? - Art ![]()

Matthew 5-27
27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[e] 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. |

O.K. Thanks for your reply Henk. So who has verified that? Or where is it located? Was it "channelled" or something apocryphal? - Art ![]()

If there's a book that claims to be written by Nathanael, I've never heard of it.
If Jesus had ever commanded his disciples to do something evil, I think a red flag would have gone off in my head when I read it. However, that doesn't mean that people haven't done evil things 'in Jesus' name' (which usually means, invoking a higher power as an artificial authority) that contradicts his teachings. Jesus's greatest teaching was that we must love others. I imagine that even if Jesus had commanded 'evil things', they would be in contradiction to this important basis for his ministry.

Again here are the ""wicked"" words that Jesus spoke
Matthew 5-27 27"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.'[e] 28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Nathanael is giving us a further explanation: Jesus tells about His life on earth 014 Jesus tells about His life on earth 015 Last edited by Henk; 04-05-2008 at 11:59 PM. |

Okay, but I'm looking for Jesus' wicked sayings, not Nathanael's "explanation." What do you see that is wicked in these verses, Henk? Instead of referring us to some rant somewhere, why not give me a summary of the wickedness you see there?

I do not see any wickedness in what Jesus is telling us because I understand it very well ....but some do not understand it and say ....what is this for a wicked teaching.....
Those who reakt in this way are pure worldly persons ....only seeking for material possesions and pleassures. Those are not ready for the lessons that Jesus is giving. |
