Why are homosexuality and other "abnormal" sexual practices wrong? I'd just like to know what the Christians on here think. I wasn't sure whether there was a concrete reason, or whether it was more of a belief.
P.S.: I'm not Christian, and I do disagree with this view, but I'm not here to debate. I genuinely just want to know your ideas on the subject, so that I have a better understanding of your perspective. ![]()

Homosexuality is wrong because homosexuals typically prefer partners who are Latex-challenged, and this an abomination to the Acme Latex Love Doll Corporation.

Wow, I figured by posting in the Christianity forum, I'd get much different answers. I know many people, even many Christians, don't see these as wrong, but I was mainly directing the question at people who do think this stuff is immoral.

My perspective is that homosexuality isn't the same as real love in the same way that lust isn't real love. While I don't see a problem with people of the same gender being very intimate friends, when that intimacy becomes physical (in my opinion) it's totally a selfish thing.
I don't see homosexuality as any worse than if a guy dated a girl just to have sex with her. I DO think that Christians tend to make TOO big of a deal out of homosexuality. In the Bible, it's only one sin out of all the other ways that people harm themselves. Why single homosexuals out? How about the liars and the murderers and child molesters? Those seem much more socially harmful 'sins'. Homosexuality is a personal issue, so really, Christians should let people deal with it on a personal level. It should not be on the public stage like the circus it is now (although to be fair, these 'homosexual rights' groups are the ones making it a circus). |

Because homosexuals do not produce new tithing members of the Church. If everyone was gay the Church would go broke in a generation.

That's a pretty odd answer for a "Christian." Perhaps you're really a Taoist in disguise.

Well that got me laughing. I don't think it's a big deal, and don't give it much thought. 99% of the time I do hear it, its people making sure I know their not straight. However i can see where people would think it's not natural, in the context of human biology. I suppose if two of any one gender could produce offspring from sex, then the church and other fanatics would relax. (gotta protect that constant influx of money) :-)
