Default Prophetic Proof Part 2

The scripturally predicted "new covenant" is further foretold in Isaiah 7:14, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel."

Now the meaning of the name "Immanuel" is "God with us.", and the deeper meaning becomes clearer just a few passages later in 9:6 & 7, "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this."

He is certainly no mere man, but rather the bridge between God and man.

Another place where the Messiah is shown to be more than just a man is Micah 5:2, where the city and provence of Christ's birthplace is predicted, "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting."

Make no mistake, the Hebrew word used speaks of the disappearing point in time, here specifically eternity past. This can only be said of God, and He came here to be "with us."

Jesus Himself offers this on His behalf, "What do you think about the Christ, whose son is He? They said to Him, "The son of David." He said to them, "Then how does David in the Spirit call Him 'Lord,' saying, 'THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES BENEATH YOUR FEET" '? If David then calls Him 'Lord,' how is He his son?" (Matthew 22;42-45... Psalm 110:1)
In the natural, what king would call his son "My Lord"? Simply put, the only way it works is if THE LORD becomes King David's son, (or ancestor). And so we have the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

I know I'm moving fast and making a kind of sketch, as opposed to a painting. But this IS a message board, and I fully encourage everyone to study the matter in depth... and look for part 3.
