Default The traditions of the apostles

How much of the traditions about the lives (and death) of the apostles (after Jesus' ascension) can be accepted as historical? Or are they only legends?

For example, did Peter really died on the cross, upside-down?

Did Thomas did his ministry in India?

Did John ascend without dying, like Enoch or Elijah?

The miracles that each apostle had performed?

Lot of the traditions were derived from the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD, from early Church Fathers, like Polycastes, Irenaeus, Tertullian and others.

I find it difficult to shift through fact from legends.
