1 Kings 11:41: "As for the other events of Soloman's reign - all he did and the wisdom he displayed - are they not written in the book of the annals of Soloman?" (NIV)
The NRSV has a similar translation of this verse. What do you all think this refers to? My first thought was that it referred to "The Wisdom of Soloman", which is a book in the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox bible, but that's just wisdom and not a record of events, right? Is "the annals of Soloman" a book that has been lost to history? Does anyone have any knowledge or speculation on this subject? |

It does not refer to the Wisdom of Solomon, but most likely to records kept by a court historian. Personally, I doubt that this book ever existed.
