1 Cororinthians 15: 40-41 (King James version)

40- There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41- There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

1 Cororinthians 15: 40-41 (Joseph Smith Inspired version)

40- There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial, and bodies telestial; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41- There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

the verses are saying that there are spiritual bodies ( spirit creatures, angels) and earthly bodies (flesh and blood) spirit creatures are one sort, and we are another sort, i am pretty sure it means that ,

also in old English bodies are refer to as "bodies of land(when referred this way also talks about kingdoms of the crown)" or "bodies of water" (i fond this by reading or attempting to read some old books form the time period also thought in high school and in my collage class on history I believe humanities curse as meaning both) so it could be interrupted both ways, but still either way as far as i can find they are not thought in any other denomination in Christianity beside LDS... I’ve looked and haven’t been able to find any... so the question is right and the other possible meanings are correct because of history and books written at the time of the translation... all I am pointing out is that "Bodies" also refer to other things besides a "Human Body" or "animal body"... this is one scripture that stands alone, and also together, because it is its own subject and also part of a larger verse of poetry. and the bible is deeper then the eye appears...

35Nevertheless, someone will say: "How are the dead to be raised up? Yes, with what sort of body are they coming?" 36 You unreasonable person! What you sow is not made alive unless first it dies; 37 and as for what you sow, you sow, not the body that will develop, but a bare grain, it may be, of wheat or any one of the rest; 38 but God gives it a body just as it has pleased him, and to each of the seeds its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same flesh, but there is one of mankind, and there is another flesh of cattle, and another flesh of birds, and another of fish. 40 And there are heavenly
bodies, and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly
(Lat., cae·le´sti·a, "celestial.")
bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly
Lat., ter·re´stri·a, "terrestrial."
bodies is a different sort. 41 The glory of the sun is one sort, and the glory of the moon is another, and the glory of the stars is another; in fact, star differs from star in glory................... i think taking the verses in context its talking about how God gives a body, either a spiritual one to be in heaven, or a flesh and blood one to live on the earth.
