I'm what happens when cousins marry. I'm the product of the Southern Baptist Church. Now, I think that I'm a liberal, so my fundie conservative Bible-thumping blood has mixed with existentialism and I'm all out of wack. With plenty of hot blood, I like to argue about religion, and too often, I don't care when I offend people. I purposefully use exagerrated rheoric to push peoples' buttons without actually personally attacking them (like homophobic Bible-thumping fundie wacko), and so forth. I could go on and on about my sins, but if I know that I've offended several people on RF, and because truly I dearly love this community, I will apologize for my actions.
You may see me in the future use this kind of rhetoric because I enjoy it so much, but I will attempt to keep it light-hearted. I have tried to aim my rhetoric way over people here so that no one (except for a few) can actually conclude that they are actually a wacko. Often, I am describing myself .As for the LDS altercations that you may have seen... I've given it some thought, and I will try not to argue anymore that LDS are not Christians. The word Christian is so precious that many LDS have not noted a difference between the relationship with God that word entails and an historical-critical term. I nor anyone else can say that LDS have no special relationship with God based on their belief or the word "Christian," but we can argue relationships to history. Such an argument says nothing of LDS spirituality, sincerity, or beauty. There has got to be a better way for us to communicate than to hurl insults at eachother. Hopefully, if we stick around, we can figure it out. Thanks for reading. AE

Awww AE, you're getting all soft on us.
I'm glad we mean something to you. That's very sweet and big of you to apologize. I appreciate all the questions you've answered for me. |

But I'm going to take it easy on LDS topics for a while. That last thread reminds me of one time I was asked to direct the service at church... during the announcements an old lady said, "I've never seen Satan have so much control over a worship service."

You speak your mind. You follow your heart. Much better to do that then kiss as$ just trying to get along. Keep speaking what you believe. I might disagree with you on some things, but I'll always respect you.
