I'm not Catholic, but isn't Good Friday the day that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind? And isn't Easter the day he was resurrected?

The name "Good Friday" can be decieving. On this day Jesus suffered a horrendous crusifixion, and died not by his wounds, but by suffication. It is called "Good" because by this sacrafice of the unblemshed lamb, our sins were forgiven. Dying he destroyed our death that was due us becasue of sin, and by rising he restored our life.

Good Friday is when Christ suffered for our sins through volunteering his life for ours (cruxified) by the Roman Empire.
It is the new passover. Christ, the lamb, was slaughter to free us from our sins through his blood. It is terrible that it happened, but G*d came to us so man/woman/child can become close to him through the bridge Jesus created for all of us. |
