Have any Christians here ever told someone they were going to burn in hell?
Once I knew a Morman named Dianna. She was nice, she came to public school with me because she was living with her cousin Laura. I had many discussions with Dianna about God, truth, and the like because we had an English teacher who made us think. I got wrapped up in everything he had to say about perceptions, truths, being deep, and biases. Half way through my Freshman year i stopped going to church. The hypocracy there was horrid, and my best friend had just admitted to me that she was Wiccan. My mind was opening. I liked it. One day, Dianna spoke of something religious, and i talked to her about it. I asked her why she wanted to convert people, and she said, "Because I want them to go to heaven with me?" I told her, "Well, instead of telling people they'll burn in hell if they dont, Christians should just act a certian way, and then if asked, should tell what separates them from the rest, because God never forced himself upon anyone, and we arent supposed to judge... I have a friend whose wiccan." She replied, "Well, why are you going to let your friend burn in hell?" It really hurt me inside that someone could say that about my best friend. I'm wondering if anyone has said that statement, or if anyone has been hurt by it before...i suppose... |

i get told im gonna burn for both being gay and participanting in my pagan heritage
at the end of the day, christian salvation is worked out between one person and their God, and i don't really think some crazy loud mouth has much influence over God........

I have been told to burn in hell by most Jehovah's Witness' that have knocked on my door. I was'nt even rude either
It doesn't offend me though, I've had to put up with harsher words from most people for my beliefs, or more accurately, the lack of them x Peace x |

I can't recall the number of times someone has told me that I will burn in hell. In that, other than the two girls in the bookstore a few years ago, I cannot recall another christian telling me that I was going to burn in hell. The two girls were a trip. Strange conversation.
Me: "What can I help you with?" Them: "Do you have the Satanic Bible in stock." Me: "Yes. I'll get a copy for you." Them: "Can we burn it?" Me: "As long as you buy it first I don't really care." Them: "Are you a christian?" Me: "No, I'm an athiest." Them: "You know you are going to hell if you don't accept Jesus Christ." Me: "That's fine. I could use a vacation." Them: "uh..like..whatever" I walked away from them while they ogled over LaVey and just laughed. I've put with a lot more ignorance than some random fundamentalists condemning me to hell. |

I get that from some of my closest friends that aren't LDS. It's rather sad. I don't believe anyone except the really really really bad people are going to 'hell' as it were. I don't believe in fire and brimstone hell.

.I've never told anyone they are going to burn in hell. Some Christians I have known have gone incredibly cold towards me when I have mentioned that other specific Christians have told me that I will go to hell, something which I have never quite understood.

I've only been told I'm going to hell by Evangelical Christians and that was in high-school. It was common knowledge the weekly youth-group meetings these kids went to were anti-organized religion seesions, usually Mormon, Catholic, and JW.
I hope adults would have more sense, but who is teaching the kids at their youth group? Oh, that's right. Adults. Anyway, since high-school, I haven't been told I'm going to hell. |
