This verse comes from the story of the temptations of Jesus. Upon being tempted by Satan for the second time, Jesus refutes him with the following words:
"On the other hand, it is written, 'You shall not put the LORD your God to the test.' " (NASB) Now, my question is this: Do you think that that Jesus' use of this passage from Deuteronomy is evidence for His divinity? Does it help give any more insight to this ongoing debate? Any thoughts are welcome.
