I'm trying to incorporate Wicca because, I've always been drawn to it. My mother, who loves to read about everything, bought some books on it once, and I couldn't help but read them. The outlook wicca presented made sense to me. Every now and again, I'd sray away, or focus on something else, but always come back to wicca. So, i just decided that i was suppose to have something to do with it, but i didn't want to give up my christianity. So, i'm combining them both.

In that case - good luck with that. Do an online search and you'll come up with tons of hits on people who think the same way that you do.
Personally, I don't see how you can manage with both as they are. Wicca is in direct contradiction with all things Christian, so I don't see how it makes sense. If you believe in the story of Jesus, how can you refute his teachings about God by incorporating a pantheon of deities and working magick rituals? Christianity is a pretty clear cut religion. You either believe in it or you don't. There are different sects which incorporate the different interpretations of God's intention, but Christianity doesn't allow for a pick and choose kind of faith. The message is clear: Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. 22:20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed. The messages of heaven and hell are pretty clear. If you believe in the Christian God, how can you then refute his Word and not expect the explicit reprocussions? I'm so thoroughly confused by that.

Well, I've never really believed in what the bible had to say. It's too contradictory. Mainly I believe that there is one God, and he sent his son to die for our sins. That's about the only thing that Christianity has for me. All else is still a little fuzzy to me.

To Quote the Wikipedia(Source sadly taken down) * The ancient Hebrew and modern definitions of witch do not coincide * Some elements of modern Witchcraft, such as divination, numerology, rune casting and meditation, are clearly endorsed by the Bible * The prohibitions in the Bible forbid particular practices of witchcraft, including: * necromancy, or raising and commanding ghosts and spirits (see {Witch of Endor}) * poisoning * compulsion or deception through magical means * use of polytheistic rites to deny God * use of magic in rebellion against God, or for selfish purposes

If you are a christian, the Bible says that there is only One and only one God. Eventhough there are many Gods and Goddesses, there is only one true God that we should worship and venerate. I will give you the verses tomorrow for I am leaving now.

I am also very interested by the fact that the Bible does not deny the existence of other gods, just that big G considers himself to be the original creator and the bestest. So why, I wonder, does the Bible not explain the existence of the other gods, since if there was nothing before God, then he clearly created all of the other gods too, right? Should there not be an explanation in there as to why he created them? That's getting a little off topic, but it's interesting none-the-less.

One thought that when "God" created Man he talks of creating in our image, and "we" get used a lot. I know Literalist say it is the trinity, but it especially Man's Creation, "God" created us Man and Woman in "His" image. Make sense if their was both a male "God" and a female "God"

It's funny, because growing up I always assumed that "we" meant God and his "heavenly host" of angels. Maybe angels could then be construed as these other 'gods'? Again, funny how there's no mention of when God created his entourage - they just kind of randomly pop up in the literature.
