Fluffy, great stuff! So I take it that Holder's book might be worth buying? Last edited by jgallandt; 12-11-2005 at 12:02 PM. |

.Holder gives a rather unique taste on the subject. At this stage, I would personally rely heavily on internet texts and use books such as these with a cautious attitude. These authors will end up defining the religion as a whole so make sure, when you read them, that they are truly defining something that you agree with.

Gotcha. Good advice, Fluffy. All I read was an excerpt from his book. What little I read seemed interesting, he just came across a little full of himself.

fluffy, a very good intro
![]() i second the idea of reading such books with caution, as this path will undoubtedly be a very diverse one, with some leaning more towards wicca, and some more towards christianity note to self, check dictionary for the speling of "undoubtedly" as it just doesn't look right ![]() anyway, thanks fluffy, and michel, your always welcome to probe about and ask questions ![]()

There is always Asatru my friend. It's a little rough, a little dry, but it's more real than any religion I've ever seen, read or tried. It'll make the hair on the back of your neck stand in awe. That, or you'll get drunk and question whether or not you'd rather have a woman or a sword. Not much Magic in Asatru for the men though, but plenty of worship and prayer and courage and love.

Fluffy, Mile, Michel, do you all use crystals? And if so, how? I know Rebecca swears by them.

I've never used crystals. In fact, thinking about it, I don't think the idea has been explored extensively in any of the books I have read (at most mentioned in passing, perhaps) so I'd be very interested to hear anyone elses experiences with them though they would perhaps be better in another thread.
