exactly! The only thing that is extinguished is ignorance. Just like saying when you wake up, "Where have all the people in my dream gone?"

When you do something 'bad' in a dream, you may suffer consequences in that dream. But when you wake up, you realise the 'I' in the dream and all the individuals in that dream were not real.
