It is often said, that Buddhism has the ability to absorb elements of other religions and culture. The first absortion, would probably be elements of Hindu. Arguments occur over Zen. Some people say that Zen is almost the same as Taoism. Others say Zen has borrowed certain aspects of Taoism.
What do you know , or think that your branch of Buddhism has borrowed or absorbed from other cultures or religions?

Well, Nichiren Buddhism has elements of both Chinese and Japanese culture embedded in it. During Nichiren's time, Confucian values were predominant throughout Japan, and this shows in Nichiren's writings. Many of the ways holidays are observed, or specific parts of different services will be very Japanese in nature; there are often Shinto shrines in the Temple grounds at many different Japanese Buddhist temples (not just Nichiren ones). I could go on and on.......
