No matter which teacher you follow; learn about the Buddhist Vinayas and see if the organisation follows it.
If I remember correctly Buddha did say treat Vinayas as your teachers |

Friends,
According to Sanatana Dharma [hinduism] of which Buddhism is a branch of have this understanding that One need not look for any GURU or Master; the Master [guru] will find you. The real learning has to start from the self and myself in this life have no master to follow but existence itself the master guiding at all times through all its ups and downs am just floating in this ocean of life wherever existence takes me. Schools surely help in providing some disciple, grooming, environment for the individual to flower BUT finally it is all about the individual student, how much he is able to learn. Love & rgds |
