Well, Mark -

The Buddhism forum here is a good start. The Overview of Buddhism is pretty comprehensive; and then there are breakdowns of the three major traditions , plus zen (which is generally classed as part of Mahayana Buddhism). Once you have looked that over, then you can decide where to begin focussing your search. There are lots of places available. Beliefnet is one possibility; E-Sangha is another.

I will be happy to answer whatever questions I can.........

http://www.religioustolerance.org/buddhism.htm

That is one of the best resources on the net and serves as an introduction and overview of the religion. It is easy to read and also contains many links to sites and references to books where you can find out more detailed information.

Smile

I would also recommend Buddhanet. It is probably the most comprehensive Buddhism site on the Internet.

Yours In Love,

e-sangha!

it's a forum. big, friendly place and a good place to start asking questions, reading others' answers, and meeting other Buddhists (and Buddhism-friendly non-Buddhists).
