Hey everyone. Can an Agnostic be a Buddhist? I consider myself to be rather Agnostic in belief and am considering different religions for my new path. So, can an Agnostic be a Buddhist?

Well, Buddhist scripture says that the question of God is irrelevant and such questions "profit not for they do not lead to supreme wisdom." But for those who really can't drop the question, Buddha does in fact negate God's existence and God-belief several times in the scriptures.
That being said, absolutely, an Agnostic can be a Buddhist! And since you're considering a new path, here's some info on the teachings of Buddhism: Here's a Q & A that should answer all your questions about Buddhism including it's core teachings: http://buddhanet.net/e-learning/qanda.htm Main Tenets

You know, I think I know enough that I am just going to take the plunge. Buddhism has always seemed like a very good path for me and I really like how it focuses on relieving suffering.

Great! Glad you have considered Buddhism. Btw, I forgot to list one of the most important tenets: Emptiness: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%9A%C5%ABnyat%C4%81 . |

I think the two are a nice fit actually.

I think in Zen especially, believe is not required.

IMO Buddhism is always agnostic, even if it sometimes plays with being theistic or atheistic as well.

Of course one can be Agnostic and Buddhist. One can be anything and Buddhist; it may occasionally require holding two opposing concepts in the mind, but humans do that all the time.
