Song of Solomon or Canticles as its called is nothing but meanderings of a failed conquest to capture someone elses girl to have as your own in my opinion. The author and main star of which learned this tactic of 'capture' from King David's actions. Except his way is more subtle. No need to get the boyfriend/husband killed in this case.
Kings get away with all sorts of bad things.Women and even my mother have told me that they love the tale enclosed because its beautiful. Beautiful? One guys journal notes are beautiful? They are notes from a desparate person who just can't seem to get enough. Or because he can't 'get any'! How many wives or women did this guy need? The Song of Solomon is nothing but a 'journal'.In one way it's an example of what not to do? "Do not commit adultery" is pretty self explanatory. This 'section' of the bible is nothing but one of those racy sex inuendo fiction paperbacks. Full of all that is unwholesome. The 'book', Song Of Solomon, should be removed from the bible.

But it's not fiction... it really happened. I think it's great that God shares the holy and UN-HOLY things his people have done. God only works with flawed vessels.

I often wonder about the day they split the atom. Amazing and fantastic. Just think of the economic possiblities, etc.
Now we have those nasty examples of the Song of Solomon for all to use, who are good, as a guideline as to what not to do. We also have those who might use these tactics from a chosen King to do the opposite. Yes, it's not fiction. It's reality in the scriptures. The whole idea that this section of the bible should be here because Solomon mentions Yah in one verse is just as crazy as saying the Apocrapha doesn't belong because it doesn't have God's name in it. Must all scriptures have God's name in it to be beneficial?
