Default I would like to find God but I know he doesn't exist.
I will give $1,000 to anyone that can convince me that there is a God and the Bible is his word. Simply put, if there is a God and my eternal soul is dependent on me finding him then I need help.

My problem is that I have read the bible and can't possibly see how it could be the creator of all things book.

This won't be easy as I have studied the bible and find it horribly written and contradictory.

I will reply once a day to any and all responses.

The lord works in mysterious ways, beyond the comprehension of mere mortals. So don't question it, just have faith. After all, you don't want to risk being wrong and end up burning in hell forever, would you? As for the bible, it states that it is written by god, and if it's written by god then it must be true.

If you don't mind, I'll be taking that one grand now.

Sorry, but you need to go read your bible. The bible does not state it was written by God. It states all scripture is written by God (2 Timothy 3:16). It also says that God made us in his likeness and Genesis 3:22-23 and states that we have become like God knowing both good and evil so our thought processes are similiar. Lastly, you have to have something to put your faith in. That is what I am looking for.

I make over six figures a year and I am retired from the US Army. I have no problem paying out $1,000 to someone that can convince me that there is an eternity in heaven for my soul. I don't beleive there is anyone that can do it though.

If you already know that the Bible is phony and not the Word of Almighty God, than how could you ever be convinced? If you know, then is there any wiggle-room for a change in your stance concerning God and the Bible? We should always have an open mind to anything and everything and never remain stagnant with the proposition that "I-know." But, maybe you do have an open mind and this is the reason that you started this thread. Or it could be that you are just wishing to begin a debate on the verifiability of the Bible, which can NEVER be proven nor disproven. So, believe what you would like to believe. But never pretend to know something that is up to this point unknowable.

I will do my best, but I would like 50% up front (I am a contractor you know)
I think, for starters, you need to separate your request into two parts, and not one. What if there is a God, but the Bible isn't the word of God.
