Simple Question: Why do you say Jesus of Nazareth is God?
Please, knowledgeable answers only. No "Well, my momma told me" type answers. Sit this one out and have enough heart to see if ur momma or pastor is telling the truth. |

But Jesus of Nazareth being the God isn't biblical, is it? If so would you care to show it to me in the scripture?
Because I hold men as liars and only the word of God true: Romans 3:4God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. |

However, there are many verses that give Jesus attributes of God - divinity (Son of God), the power of God (working miracles), doing the activity of God (forgiving sin), and identifying himself as the Great I AM in the Gospel of John. Quote:

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it contradictory to say Jesus is God and the Son of God? Isn't that saying that he gave birth to himself, which would make him the Father of himself and the son of himself at the same time? Which once again isnt biblical.

So you say there are 3 Gods in 1? Isn't that in itself polytheism? You worship 3 Gods.

I believe the only reason people say Jesus is God is b'cuz "they mama told them". After Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist ,the Holy Ghost decended upon him like a dove "And lo a voice from heaven saying This is my beloved SON in whom I am well pleased(matt.3:17) and there are other like that scripture confirming his sonship
