Why do you say Jesus is God?

Simple Question: Why do you say Jesus of Nazareth is God?

But Jesus of Nazareth being the God isn't biblical, is it? If so would you care to show it to me in the scripture?

Because I hold men as liars and only the word of God true:
Romans 3:4God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

Well, I think that all Scriptures in the Bible that can be used to argue for the divinity of Christ are matters of interpretation. That is to say, there is no text in the Bible that says quite simply "Jesus is God" and defines Christ as a person in the Trinity.

However, there are many verses that give Jesus attributes of God - divinity (Son of God), the power of God (working miracles), doing the activity of God (forgiving sin), and identifying himself as the Great I AM in the Gospel of John.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it contradictory to say Jesus is God and the Son of God? Isn't that saying that he gave birth to himself, which would make him the Father of himself and the son of himself at the same time? Which once again isnt biblical.

No, it solves the paradox. Christianity is monotheist: Christ the Son of God is the Only God. Without the Trinity, the Son of God would be a lessor god, and we would be polytheists.

I believe the only reason people say Jesus is God is b'cuz "they mama told them". After Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist ,the Holy Ghost decended upon him like a dove "And lo a voice from heaven saying This is my beloved SON in whom I am well pleased(matt.3:17) and there are other like that scripture confirming his sonship
