"This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.


What does the scripture mean to you?

With people being born every day isn’t this a prophecy that can be categorized as never being fulfilled?

Is it a prophecy that can be hurried through the technology of mass media?

Well, it says the gospel will be preached to all nations, not all persons, so I don't see how it's impossible to fulfill the condition. I also take "preaching" to mean more than simply "broadcasting." It means more like what Matthew says at the end of his Gospel, 28:18-20.

I think this prophecy is either already fulfilled or GOD is extremely inefficient.

There was a story on YAHOO! news that explained that we just discovered a new villiage and a new tribe of people that have never had contact with other outside cultures and it makes you wonder how many more of these are there left in the world and if this prophecy can really ever be fulfilled.

God can reveal Himself directly to them if the missionaries can't find them. Also, this life is not the only one in which everyone can be "preached" to...

1 Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be ejudged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

I believe that the prophecy is being fullfilled daily...Everytime a broadcast goes into a foreign country, Anytime a missionary goes to a mission field. I believe that even the people that we never knew existed believe in a supreme being of some type. Like the American Indians prayed to gods before they ever had contact with others. Other Indian tribes in Mexico and other places believed in Sun gods and other types of gods. I believe God will manifest himself to all people and they will have the opportunity to accept or reject Him...
