I'd really expect a person who enjoys reading the Bible to travel with a Bible, though. I do, and I don't even believe in it. I think the Gideons have this idea that one day a lonely and desperate traveling salesman or prostitute will pick up one of their Bibles and thereby make a divine connection and be delivered from a life of sin and shame. And I'm sure there are stories out there of exactly that kind of thing happening.
I can imagine that if it did that for one person, then they would feel all those Bibles were worth it.

I agree.

Something I find rather annoying are the one who complain about the Bible being there at all.
It isn't like there is someone in their room forcing them to read it at gun point.

I have never seen a Bible in a hotel room in Thailand, China, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia or Laos so... I guess it's not everywhere.

I think it's so that Christians can take over the world. Of course, in Mariott Hotels, you'll also find a copy of the Book of Mormon. That's because Mormons are trying to take over the world first.

I've never used the coffee maker I've found in a hotel room, and I guess I've never bothered bothered looking for the porn. As far as I'm personally concerned, I'd rather find a Bible than either of those two things. But if I ever stay in a hotel without a hair dryer, somebody's gonna be dead meat.

Like I said, hotels have to accommodate all kinds of people.

The only time I've ever actually looked for the porn was at the Marriott, because I wanted to see if it was just an urban legend that they offered it.

The one amenity I'm really interested in is a refrigerator. I like to have a cold Diet Coke at hand when I wake up.
