I have a great deal of respect for Catholics. They are Christians, just as I am.

If they believe I'm doomed if I am not Catholic, I'm okay with that.
If they believe they are the only correct religion, I'm okay with that too.

Actually we have a lot in common.

what i don't get is they say the Bible has the authority. But yet they don;t get thier doctrines from the bible... where do they get it from?

certainyl it was not revelation from God because the canon is closed for them and there can be no more revelation given.....

which makes me wonder where they get thier doctrine....

I don't understand what you are getting at.

You believe that the Sky is Blue right? okay well there are some people who say the sky is a different color because that is what they believe, but yet It is still the same Sky.

do you see how this could relate to Jesus Christ?

Say for instance You believe Jesus is Black, I believe he is white, But it's the same person we are talking about, the same miracles accounted for by this individual, but only one of us is right about his true nature.

I have no problem with a church saying thier doctrine is not based Sola Scriptural, but i wonder where they get it when they claim no direct revelation.

if there is no revelation it is the devices of the human mind that came up with the doctrine and hence the whole of a church has put thier trust in the arm of flesh rather than God himself.

In the Bible at the end of Matthew Christ does NOT say that all authority lies within [the bible] but rather he states that all authority is given to him...

Scriptures are just a manifestation of the authority that rest in Jesus Christ.
