His Life or His death? (Christ, charity)

I'm attempting to move a bunny trail to a new thread.

Is it the life of Christ that saves man or His death?

His life and certainly his teaching are important because He teaches us what we have to do in order to be saved, what it takes to keep us saved and what the final reward is if we are overcomers. So his life was very important. His death was to me the greatest gift He could have given us...I don't believe some people would be saved unless they realized how much he loved us that He was willing to die in order for us to live. There are not many people who would lay down there life for a friend. Many people tell you they love you, but actions speak more than words, and If that isn't love, what would you call it?

Is must be both because He was raised again for our justification and He ever liveth to make intercession for us. At the same time His death was our death so that death cannot hold us.

I disagree. the only thing He taught us that we need to do to be saved is to believe on Him. He certainly taught us how to love by His life.

The implication was that it was His life before the crucifiction. I cannot argue that it is Christ that keeps us saved.

So you would say that his teaching us how to love by his example showed us how to be saved?

No, the Bible does not teach that. It teaches that the way to be saved is to believe on Him. But you are starting another bunny trail. If you wish to discuss how to be saved, start your own thread.
